What is Baba?
Baba is the Ukrainian diaspora app — a senior-friendly iPad and iPhone app that brings together Ukrainian news, politics, war updates, Orthodox faith, culture, podcasts, and live radio in one clean, calm reader.
How much does Baba cost?
Baba is a one-time $1.99 purchase on the App Store. That's it — no subscriptions, no ads, no in-app purchases. Pay once, use forever. You support an indie developer and a small project that exists only to serve the Ukrainian diaspora.
What languages does Baba support?
Baba is fully bilingual in Ukrainian and English. You can switch languages any time in Settings — every section, every headline, every prayer, every interface label.
Where does Baba get its news from?
From a tight, curated whitelist of trusted Ukrainian and international newsrooms — Ukrainska Pravda, Kyiv Independent, Euromaidan Press, Ukrinform, European Pravda, and more. No Russian state media. No propaganda.
Does Baba work on iPhone and iPad?
Yes — iPad-first with a full iPhone layout. Built for iOS 17 and later. The iPad version is optimized for older eyes: large type, high contrast, simple navigation, no surprise gestures.
Does Baba include Orthodox faith content?
Yes. Daily Orthodox readings, the feast calendar, saints of the day, fasting guidance, livestreams from Ukrainian parishes, and a full Bible — three depth levels so you get exactly as much as you want.
Is Baba suitable for elderly parents and grandparents?
Yes — that's who Baba is built for. Adjustable text size, high-contrast themes, reduced motion, button-shape hints, simple clear labels. No social features. No distractions. No accidental taps.
Does Baba track me or sell my data?
No. Baba does not sell user data, does not run third-party ads, and stores no personal profile on our servers. Notification preferences are tied to an anonymous device token only.
